The Blue Angel
Label
Award label for products and services beneficial to the environment
The standards and requirements examined during the EuCertPlast certification process are in line with those of the Blue Angel Eco-Label.
The Blue Angel Eco-label is awarded to environmentally-friendly products and services offered on the market. The label itself sets out specific standards that need to be met, with respect to environmental, health and performance characteristics. These standards are reviewed every three to four years to ensure the latest advances in the markets are taken into account.
When it comes to products made from recycled plastics, the EuCertPlast is one of the items on the checklist that must be followed when applying for the label. Furthermore, the Blue Angel Eco-label criteria states:
“According to 3.1 of RAL-UZ 30a the applicant shall verify origin and composition of the plastic recyclates used by means of a certificate (including report) pursuant to the EuCertPlast certification scheme.”

Italian National Consortium for the Collection and Recycling of Plastic Packaging
EuCertPlast Certification is recognised by COREPLA as an official auditing process to guarantee the quality procedures of plastics recyclers.

Recovinyl is an initiative of the European PVC industry created in 2003 as part of the original Vinyl 2010 Voluntary Commitment to advance the sustainable development of the PVC industry.
Recovinyl has been successful in increasing the recycling of PVC across Europe to over 240,000 tonnes a year. Today, Recovinyl mission extends to optimizing and mediating the relationship between recyclers and converters to enable a trustworthy relationship and material flow on a Certification system based on EuCertPlast.
